Rigoga Ruth speaks of the role of the youth in advancing Tour du Rwanda

Tour du Rwanda has been going on for some days now and through our look behind the scenes we have seen that it relies quite heavily on young people and their skills.

Over the years, the event has grown in popularity, and this can be attributed to the role of the youth in advancing Tour du Rwanda.

The youth in Rwanda are the heartbeat of this event. They are the ones who are always at the forefront, from volunteering to cheerleading to cycling. They bring with them a sense of energy and enthusiasm that is infectious, making the event more vibrant and exciting.

The event relies heavily on the youth, who have been at the forefront of this. They youth contributes in various capacities, from setting up stages to providing security, media and others. They bring with them a sense of community and teamwork that is essential for the smooth running of the event.

Rigoga Ruth, a Sports Journalist at RBA also shares the same sentiment. She believes that the young people who are present at Tour du Rwanda are the ones who will contribute to its advancement.

She said, “They are capable of doing that. They can now do a wide range of things thanks to their skills.”

“With as many young people in the 15th Edition, it stands to reason that they will also be instrumental in the 30th Edition. They will be among the organisation’s elders. The organisation will gain from them on a technical and player level,” she added.

The youth have also played a crucial role in advancing Tour du Rwanda through their passion for cycling. They have been instrumental in creating a cycling culture in Rwanda, which has helped to popularize the sport and increase the number of participants.

Many young people have taken up cycling, inspired by the success of their compatriots in the event. They have also formed cycling clubs, which have provided a platform for them to train and compete.

One of the most impressive things about the youth in Rwanda is their sense of innovation. They are always coming up with new ideas and ways of doing things, which has helped to advance Tour du Rwanda.

Rigoga said that “their influence and legacy will be visible in Tour du Rwanda and other cycling events. Young people have a fantastic chance here that needs to be taken advantage of.”

For example, they have come up with innovative ways of promoting the event, such as using social media and creating viral content.

And it’s not just about cycling. The youth have also played a crucial role in advancing Tour du Rwanda through their creativity and sense of humor.

They have come up with unique and funny ways of entertaining the crowds, such as dancing and singing. They have also showcased their own merchandise, such as t-shirts and hats, which have helped to promote the event and sponsors.

Of course, there have been some challenges along the way. One of the biggest challenges has been the lack of resources. But the youth have been undeterred.

They have shown a remarkable ability to do more with less, coming up with creative solutions to the challenges they face. They have also been relentless in their pursuit of excellence, always striving to improve and make the event better.

Rigoga herself expresses that she is always learning in every Tour du Rwanda event she covers. Her goal is to “learn more about cyclism to prepare for the Road World Championship.”

The youth in Rwanda have played a critical role in advancing Tour du Rwanda. Through their volunteerism, passion for cycling, innovation, creativity, and sense of humor, they have helped to make the event one of the most exciting and vibrant cycling events in Africa.

They are an inspiration to us all, showing us what can be achieved through hard work, dedication, and a sense of community.
