Rwamagana Mayor encourages youth to harness these opportunities in 2025

The Mayor of Rwamagana District, Mbonyumuvunyi Radjab, delivered a message to the youth, urging them to make 2025 a year of hard work and self-improvement. He highlighted key opportunities for employment within the district, including the industrial zone and the flower farming area.

This message was conveyed during an interview with KURA. The mayor emphasized that 2025 should be a productive year for the youth, given the favorable environment in the country and the significant support they receive.

Mbonyumuvunyi stated, “Let them remain steadfast in the mission of building the nation. We must continue to work together, avoiding distractions, as there are many out there. These include drug abuse, idleness, unplanned pregnancies, and other challenges. Let them focus on activities that can uplift them and the country. May they have a prosperous new year filled with impactful actions rather than negligence.”

The mayor highlighted opportunities within Rwamagana District that could help youth thrive, including marshlands, the industrial zone, and the Bella Flowers farming area, among others.

He noted: “We are constructing roads, and there is an industrial zone with available jobs, such as construction work, carpentry, and positions in the industries themselves, which require workers. We also have state-owned marshlands that need groups to form cooperatives. We assist them by providing seeds and fertilizers so they can cultivate and improve their livelihoods. These are some of the opportunities they can fully utilize this year.”

Mayor Mbonyumuvunyi also urged the youth to avoid anything that could hinder their progress in 2025. He reminded them that they have supportive leaders who are committed to their development and success.
