While in his final year of study at the Adventist University of Central Africa (AUCA), Jean Marie Vianney Karegeya conceived an innovative solution to tackle the issue of poor management in schools.

Talent Match

Talent Match, Inc, is dedicated to bridging the skills gap and curbing youth unemployment in Rwanda. It was established by Allen Kendunga who also serves as its CEO.

It was founded by Hervé Girihirwe together with Leon Karekezi. They both had seen that most farmers in Rulindo, Gakenke, Musanze, Nyabihu, and Rubavu districts were facing the same challenge of accessing real market information, hence selling their produce at a low price.
Girihirwe and Karekezi took steps to address the problem and established Mulika Farms, a startup that seeks to provide a transparent and dependable platform for farmers to sell their produce to various local markets by eliminating middlemen in the supply chain.
They have created a transparent marketplace for farmers to sell their products without the unnecessary use of middlemen who take away more than 50% of the farmer’s potential earnings.
This is a significant step towards reducing poverty and improving food security in Rwanda. Mulika Farms can be a real opportunity for farmers to sell their produce at a fair price and make a decent living.
Urujeni Project
Urujeni Project is a project that sets up groups for teenage mothers who are provided with Sexual and Reproductive Health information and services and are supported to realize their dreams after going through hard times. The project tackles parenting skills on reproductive health.
The project was initiated by Aimee Laetitia Umubyeyi. It is a lifesaver for many teenage mothers in Rwanda who often face stigmatization and discrimination. The Urujeni Project is not only providing these young mothers with the necessary support, but it is also empowering them to realize their full potential.
Smart Ikigega
Smart Ikigega was founded by Emmanuel Karangwa and Joselyne Nisingizwe. It is a technology that makes it easy for agriculture sectors to be linked with other sectors in different ways, making agriculture more digitalized. This technology is solving the age-old problem of lack of access to markets for smallholder farmers.
With Smart Ikigega, farmers can now easily connect with buyers, access market information, and make better decisions to improve their livelihoods.
