Uwizeye, a 24-year-old from Ruhango district, says she began using them after seeing an exhibition about them at their school.
She says she was hesitant to try them at first, but she quickly warmed up to the idea.
“I thought they were very messy and difficult to deal with, but since they were free, I took some and tried them once. It is not different to Pads “She stated.
“I think the only thing people don’t like about them is that they have to be washed, but once you get past that, I think they’re fine.”
Uwizeye did admit that, like disposable pads, they could be uncomfortable at times. “They may be as uncomfortable as pads, but you won’t have to buy them every month. Seven pairs will last about a year.”
